Not all berries are created equal. We look for larger than normal berries, with a slightly higher sweetness and a firm flesh that has the right amount of ‘give’ – not too hard, and not too soft.
Berries are an excellent source of antioxidants to fight cancer and are all around health superstars – if you are going to eat a fruit, berries are pound for pound one of the best.
Try macerating your berries next time to boost the flavor and enjoyment – sprinkle a bit of sugar and let sit for 30 minutes to an hour – the hardest part is waiting!
We recommend giving all your berries a good rinse in cold water to ensure they are super clean before eating – please do handle them with care as they can bruise a bit easier than other fruits.
