The avocado is a bit of a puzzle when it comes to classifying it – some say it’s a stone fruit, others swear it’s a single seeded berry.
Frankly we don’t care too much, but we care a lot about getting beautiful avocados to you for your salad, your toast, your shake, or just plain with a bit of salt and olive oil.
No matter which way you like your avocado, we think you will agree ours are just a bit bigger and creamier than most.
Remember to take a few – one that is ripe (darker, gives quite a bit with a squeeze) for today, one that is for tomorrow (a bit lighter, firm but has some give), and one for a few days from now (greener, firm to hard texture).
If you want your avocados to ripen a bit faster, put them next to your bananas….this will speed up the ripening due to the natural gases given off by a banana fruit.
